I have to admit, I have those lazy days that I just don’t want do anything but curl up in bed let alone clean the house.

The thought of me getting up and taking the trash out and vacuum the entire house makes me roll my eyes in disgust. I then make a million excuses not to do it, trust me, I despise myself sometimes.

Don’t get me wrong, I love to clean and especially love walking into a clean and organized home; however, some days I get to feel lazy and down and just want to Netflix and Chill. So when I still have all the gusto in the world, I make sure to prepare the cleaning hacks for those lazy days.

Make your bed first thing when you get up

This is no effort at all. The first thing you need to do when you get up is make your bed. The bedroom’s focal point is your bed, if it’s clean and made up, it gives that illusion that the whole room is clean.

Plus, it kind of gives you that first sense of accomplishment for that day. It may seem like it’s too much work, especially if you’re not a morning person, but trust me, it’s so worth it.

Use hampers

I like to use hampers in high traffic areas around my house. I put them in the bathroom, bedroom, living room and even in hallways. They don’t have to be an eyesore, you can get those pretty hampers that can pass as home decoration.

This will help you put all that mess in one place. You can throw clothes and what have you into them and wait until it’s time for clean up.

Get yourself a reusable stove top and oven liners

This may sound lame, but I just recently discovered these products. The liners protect your stovetop or oven from spills and splatters. You can use Disposable Foil Liners or reusable liners. I recommend using the reusable ones, they can easily be washed in the sink and reused. Liners are also a great way to minimize using dangerous chemical cleaners to scrub up those messy hard-to-remove food spills.

Use refrigerator liners and charcoal

Cleaning the refrigerator is a pain. It’s one of those activities that I am not looking forward to doing. So to make clean-up quick and easy, I recommend using Press n Seal Plastic Food Wrap. Just line the surfaces in your fridge and your good to go.

Another great hack is using activated charcoal cubes or bags to absorb odors and smells. These tiny bags and cubes keep the air inside the fridge smelling fresh and clean. They come in different sizes and price, so pick those that suit you best.

Use grocery bags to line small trash bins and put some baking soda

If you want an easier garbage clean-up and not spend money on trash liners, then reuse grocery bags to line small trash bins. They help keep that trash in place, without dirtying the bins itself. I keep all my grocery bags for this purpose, so I don’t have to spend money on buying trash liners.

If trash odors are a problem in your house, you can eliminate the smell by adding baking soda to the bottom of your trash bins before placing the liners. I use this, especially for my kitchen trash bin. This helps keep my house smelling fresh and clean.

Use good quality air filters

To lessen you dusting and wiping, you have to prevent dust before it settles. I recommend investing in good quality air filters. When you dust or vacuum, some specks of dust get sucked up into your AC system then goes and captured by your AC filter. If you have good quality AC filter, then a good percentage of those house dust get trapped and you will have lesser dust to clean after.  The lesser dust to clean, the happier me! yey!

Heres a trick when you’re dusting: Switch on your AC System’s FAN before and during dusting. Fine particles that linger up in the air will be sucked and filtered through your home’s AC filter.

Use Swiffer™ for quick floor clean up

I absolutely love this thing! I use Swiffer™ to clean dry and wet floor mess. You can use the disposable sheets that come with it or use a microfiber towel, either way, it works.

I like using a microfiber towel because I can clean and reuse it. Just attached it to the Swiffer sweeper like you normally would with a disposable sheet, and glide away. This will help you do a quick clean up without the hassle of preparing and washing a regular mop.

Use dryer sheets to get rid of hard water build ups

Hard water build-ups are the toughest and most annoying part of cleaning your bathroom. I read this hack on Pinterest and I am loving it.  Not really sure what’s in it and why it does it but it works and that’s all that matters.

You can put a box of your favorite dryer sheet in your bathroom for easy access. Wipe surfaces that have hard water stains and soap scum build ups. It doesn’t just get rid of those nasty scums, it also leaves a fresh scent that you will enjoy.

Use liquid body wash or soap alternatives

Soap scum can actually be a hassle to clean, especially if you don’t clean your shower or tub every day. The ingredients in soaps don’t just leave residue, it can also build up and clog your pipes over time. One way to lessen this mess is to use liquid body wash instead of regular soaps.

Yes, I know a lot of people doesn’t want to give up using soaps, my husband included. Don’t worry, nowadays there are soaps that don’t leave that much soap scums. What? Yes, those soaps that are made with mild cleansing formula and no harsh chemicals added. These non-soap soaps are hypoallergenic and moisturizing.

Assign inside and outside footwear

I grew up with this! Have separate footwear for indoors and outdoors. This way you are not bringing any debris, soil or mud into your house. Less sweeping and mopping floors more time to do lazy stuff. lol!

You can use shoe racks and boot mats near your door for easy access and clean up. Trust me you will love this cleaning hack.
