We need our “Alone Time”
In a time when our lives are in constant motion, revolving around our daily grind and hectic schedules; it can be difficult to give ourselves that much-needed quality time – alone.
Our natural inclination, as human beings, is to seek companionship. We long for social interaction, and the need to connect with other people remains an essential factor to maintain our well-being. However, there comes a time when every single noise in the world becomes too overwhelming; when being with other people becomes too painful, and everything outside of our circle is too much to handle.
I leak and absorb emotions and get easily affected by everything that’s happening around me; so once in a while, I seek comfort in solitude. I reach a sense of ease knowing I can reconnect and find my inner peace.
It can ignite your creativity
Yes, we find inspiration everywhere and from everyone, but a little alone time can also spark our inner creative genius.
For me, having time alone pushes my brain to work in hyperdrive, imaginations running wild, and my thoughts become boundless. This is a perfect time to tap into my creative and passionate side. Spending time alone will give you a chance to explore your feelings with no boundaries and push your ideas to new heights.
You get to finish your task
No distractions at all! If you’re like me, who wants to finish everything on my daily to-do list, then spending time alone is what you need to get things done.
Sometimes, working with other people isn’t always the best; they might just be a weight that slows you down. This probably is a result from the assumption that there is no need to put effort if more people are involved. In this case, taking the task alone might be the best option for you.
It helps you clear your mind
The world tends to get louder and louder by the minute. If you want to recenter and reset, spending time alone can help you achieve that. You are mostly clearing your mind from all the anxiety and scattered thoughts that have built up over time.
Solitude is a great way to help you get in touch with yourself, those parts of you that you’ve lost or haven’t given attention for a while. If you free your mind from the outside nuisance, you get a chance to think about what’s best for you and your future. So give yourself a moment to listen to your thoughts and feelings and be completely open about what you truly desire in life.
It is the best way to unwind
Anxiety can create racing thoughts that stay with you for days. A long day can get longer if you don’t find a way to flush all that stress away.
The best way to fight my anxiety is to give myself time to be alone. To relax and not allow myself to get distracted by what’s happening outside. It is always helpful to step back and find your haven of peace.

It is the key to a happy relationship
If you feel torn between spending time alone and the need to be with your partner, then this could be a problem. You don’t need to feel guilty every time you want space. It’s not healthy, and it would not be fair to you.
Don’t get me wrong, I love spending time with my husband and doing things together, but there are times that I just want to do things alone. My husband and I may have a lot of things in common, but there are things that he likes, and I don’t, and that’s perfectly normal. This is the perfect moment for the both of you do those things. Marriage isn’t supposed to keep you from doing the things you love; it’s supposed to help you do those things with the support of your partner.
So, how much time do we need for our “alone time”?
I am no life coach, and I don’t have the right answer to that question. What I know is, it all comes down to your preference. It might only take a few minutes or your whole day; what you need to consider is this – a time for yourself is a luxury you shouldn’t take for granted.
